Terminal 1
Both domestic and international flights are handled at Terminal 1 at the Kempegowda International Airport. A total of 20 million people every year use the terminal.The airport manages frequent flights from domestic locations like Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa. Additional flights from Kochi, Chennai, and Hyderabad to Bangalore are included in the daily average of 600 flights. There are numerous domestic flights every day to any of India's 46 destinations. The Kempegowda International Airport also offers short-haul flights to locations such as Belgaum, Mysore, Mangalore, and Tirupati.The present terminal will only be utilized for domestic travel after the opening of Terminal 2.
Terminal 2
The inauguration of the second terminal at the Kempegowda International Airport is set to take place in October of this year. A second runway, an expanded access road, internal road infrastructure, and a new multi-modal transport hub are all part of the expansion of the Kempegowda International Airport. The project was started to meet the constantly shifting needs of the civil aviation business. The Kempegowda International Airport handled almost 27 million passengers just in the preceding year.
Bangalore's reputation as the "Garden city of India" and Karnataka's rich heritage culture are both honored in the architecture of Terminal 2. Kempegowda International Airport aims to become the "Gateway to a New India" with the opening of the new terminal.
