IndiGo Superstars

IndiGo's annual talent extravaganza, 'IndiGo Superstar,' celebrates the diverse talents of our team through live performances, fostering camaraderie and showcasing our employees' unique passions. IndiGo’s annual talent extravaganza 'IndiGo Superstar' is a companywide platform to celebrate the incredible and diverse abilities of our amazing team members. From music and dance to stand-up comedy, poetry, and everything in between, our employees take the stage to showcase their passions and hidden talents. Nominations and auditions are called in from across the network followed by shortlisted participants performing live at a grand finale event. This event is not only an opportunity to applaud the unique skills and dedication of our team but also a chance to strengthen bonds and have a great time together.

6E Girl Power

At IndiGo, diversity and inclusivity are central to our operations, with women making up 44.4% of our workforce, leading key departments, and breaking gender barriers in aviation, while our CSR initiatives empower women and marginalized groups. At IndiGo, diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of our operations. We are dedicated to fostering a workplace where women are treated with equality, respect, and fairness. With 44.4% of our workforce being women, and nearly 19% of leadership positions held by women, we take pride in the significant role women play across all levels. Women lead key departments such as Inflight Services, Legal, iFly (IndiGo's learning academy), and Administration, demonstrating our commitment to gender equality. IndiGo is also a trailblazer in breaking gender barriers in the aviation industry. Women now occupy roles traditionally dominated by men, including engineering, ramp, baggage handling, and specialized marshal positions. Our women pilots make up 14% of our total pilots, among the highest globally, and our cabin crew is entirely female, with 99% of lead cabin attendants being homegrown. Through IndiGoReach, our CSR arm, we drive impactful women empowerment initiatives, helping rural women increase their incomes through agricultural and non-agricultural activities. We also focus on providing sustainable livelihoods to marginalized groups, including transgenders. Programs like #GivingWingsToFly , Take-Off 2.0 & 6E Girl Power- Women Community, support women’s career development and work-life balance, with initiatives such as on-site daycare and flexible working hours. IndiGo is proud to lead the way in creating a supportive, inclusive environment where women thrive, embodying the spirit of ‘Girl Power’ across our workforce.

IndiGo offers a range of growth opportunities, including training at ifly Academy, internal job postings, the Fly High and FamilyFLY programs, leadership development through IndiGOLD, and educational partnerships that allow employees to learn while working. iFly - The spirit of IndiGo is created at ifly, the learning academy at IndiGo. iFly aims to enrich, enhance, and empower IndiGo values and vision across the Company. The centre is designed to deliver a real-time training experience to all our 35,000+ colleagues. With 74 specialized contact training rooms utilized in multiple shifts, ifly runs up to 84-day long training programs. Additionally, a large volume of training programs are conducted online, and a range of E-learning programs delivered simultaneously. Made in IndiGo – IndiGo is committed to providing its employees with opportunities for developmental and internal growth. Through Internal Job Posting (IJP), we aim to promote growth opportunity across all functions in the Company. Fly High Program – An Ab-Initio Pilot scheme introduced to provide opportunity to IndiGo employees to give wings to their flying aspirations and become a Junior First Officer/ Trainee Pilot. The employees follow a separate internal screening process. At IndiGo, we firmly believe in supporting our employees during the critical phase of parenthood and provide necessary support before and after childbirth. We offer fully paid 26 weeks’ of maternity leave to women employees. The policy is also extended in case of child adoption or surrogacy. Male employees are given paid paternity leave during the initial days of fatherhood while supporting their spouse in taking care of the newborn. With our 6E Li’L League Program, we aim to assist women employees to set up a reliable support system to take care of their children while they are working. Through the program, we provide access to a network of daycare centres pan India through a credible daycare facility aggregator.

We reach out not just with our planes but also with our hearts. IndiGo Reach is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of IndiGo. Our initiatives are focused around the areas of Women Empowerment, Environment, Heritage and Children & Education. We encourage all our employees to participate in any of the CSR programs of IndiGo Reach or undertake similar activities of their choice to promote well-being of society in general. Our initiatives have touched the lives of 79,857 participants in 16 locations with 14 partner organizations as on 31st March 2024. We also have an online platform where employees contributing to the society outside of the Company purview can also share their contributions with us.
