Program Overview

What is IndiGo BluChip?

IndiGo BluChip is the loyalty program of IndiGo which is designed to reward and recognize its valued customers for their loyalty. When you sign up as a member of the Program, it offers you the ability to earn and redeem IndiGo BluChips on IndiGo marketed & operated flights and enjoy exclusive discounts on select 6E Add-ons viz. Seat Select, Excess Baggage and Fast Forward services on IndiGo marketed and operated flight.

Members also earn IndiGo BluChips when they book and fly IndiGo marketed and Codeshare Partner operated flights with Turkish Airlines and Qantas.

Furthermore, members will also earn IndiGo BluChips when they transact using any other Program Partners

There are 3 (Three) Tiers in the Program and by meeting Tier upgrade criteria, Members will be upgraded to higher Tiers, unlocking exclusive Tier Benefits.

What are IndiGo BluChips?

IndiGo BluChip/s is the unit currency of the IndiGo BluChip program. Members earn IndiGo BluChips for eligible activities with IndiGo and/or with IndiGo BluChip Program Partners. These IndiGo BluChips can be redeemed for IndiGo flights, which are marketed and operated by IndiGo.

What are the membership benefits of IndiGo BluChip Program?

Here are several membership benefits of the IndiGo BluChip Program available to Members:

  • Earn 8 IndiGo BluChips on every INR 100 spent for IndiGo flights; every time you complete a flight marketed & operated by IndiGo or IndiGo marketed & Codeshare Partner (Turkish Airlines or Qantas Airlines) operated flights by.
  • Earn Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips on every INR 100 spent basis your Tier every time you fly with IndiGo

Is there a fee for enrolment into IndiGo BluChip Program?

Membership into IndiGo BluChip Program is free, and no subscription or annual charges have to be paid for the Membership.

Who can enroll into the IndiGo BluChip program?

Enrolment into IndiGo BluChip Program is open for nationals from all countries, provided they are 18 years or older. Currently, minors are not allowed to enrol individually or under a parent/guardian linkage. Additionally, the Member can also nominate up to 5 individuals to the Program under his/her Membership.The primary Member must be at least 18 years old, while Nominees can be of any age above 2 years.

What are the Tiers in the IndiGo BluChip Program?

There are 3 Tiers in the IndiGo BluChip Program viz. Blu 1, Blu 2 and Blu 3. Upon enrolment, an individual is enrolled into Blu 3 which is the entry level Tier. Members move up Tiers basis the achievement of the qualification criteria. Blu 1 is the highest Tier in the Program.

Is membership open for corporates or entities?

Membership to IndiGo BluChip Program is only for individuals and not for corporates or entities. Individuals who are part of corporates or entities can enrol into IndiGo BluChip Program in their individual capacity.

Who can be Nominees in the Program?

Members can appoint anybody either family members or friends as Nominees to their Membership.

Does a Nominee also have to be a Member of IndiGo BluChip Program?

No, a Nominee is not required to be a Member of the IndiGo BluChip Program.

What are the benefits available to the Nominee?

The primary Member can use his / her IndiGo BluChips for redemption not only for self but also for the Nominees. Member can also use his / her Tier Benefits like 6E Prime, or discounts on select 6E Add-ons for the bookings of their Nominees.

Will the primary Member earn IndiGo BluChips for flights taken by the Nominee?

Membership into IndiGo BluChip is in an individual capacity. Members earn IndiGo BluChips only for their own activities on IndiGo or with the Program Partners. They cannot earn IndiGo BluChips for activities undertaken by Nominees on IndiGo or with the Program Partners.

Can Nominee be a Member?

Yes, an individual who has been appointed as a Nominee in a Member’s account can also be a Member of the Program in their individual capacity and can earn and redeem IndiGo BluChips and enjoy the Tier Benefits from their Membership.

When a primary Member adds an individual as a Nominee, do they have to also provide the Nominee’s Membership No.  and secure their consent?

A Nominee may or may not be a Member of the Program. A primary Member does not have to provide the Membership No.  of the Nominee or secure consent of the Nominee at the time of adding their details as Nominee to their Membership Account. No personal information of the Nominee except First Name and Last Name is required to set them up as a Nominee.

Does IndiGo BluChip Membership expire?

IndiGo BluChip membership has a lifetime validity i.e the membership never expires.

However, Member’s Tier has a 12-month validity at the end of which the Tier Status is reviewed and subject to the criteria for that Tier, the membership will either be retained in the same Tier or will get downgraded to the next lower Tier. Tier Benefits are linked to the Tier and their validity is linked to the validity of the Tier.

Furthermore, there is no qualification criteria for a Blu 3 Tier. However, the Blu 3 Tier will also be reviewed annually to ensure allocation of Tier Benefits linked to the Tier.

How do one become a Member of IndiGo BluChip Program?

An individual can become Member by enrolling online on IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App, using a unique mobile number and email ID.

If you are a New Member (Not an existing IndiGo BluChip Member OR existing 6E User)

Joining the IndiGo BluChip Program is simple and hassle-free. Just have your mobile and email access handy, to verify and activate your IndiGo BluChip Membership Account.

Below are 4 simple steps to join the IndiGo BluChip Program:

Step 1: Head to www.goindigo.in or Download the IndiGo App. Enter your unique email Id or mobile number and click ‘continue’ under the Login section

Step 2: Fill in your personal details. Your Middle Name, if any, should be included with First Name. Add your email Id and mobile number, and provide your consent to the Terms and Conditions and other mandatory fields

Step 3: Validate your email id and mobile number with OTPs

Step 4: Create a password and click on Enroll

Upon successful enrolment, the Membership will be confirmed, and Members will be issued a unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No.

If you are a 6E User and not an IndiGo BluChip member

If you are an existing IndiGo flier and have a registered account with IndiGo, follow the below easy steps to enroll yourself into the Loyalty program

Step 1: Head to www.goindigo.in or Download the IndiGo App. Enter either your registered email Id or mobile number, add your existing password and click ‘login’

Step 2: Your personal details are pre-populated, provide your consent to the Terms and Conditions and other mandatory fields and click ‘continue’

Step 3: Validate your account with OTP

Upon successful enrolment, the Membership will be confirmed, and Members will be issued a unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No.

Can a Member enroll his / her family or company as a Member in IndiGo BluChip Program?

Members can only enroll themselves in their individual capacity and as primary member, using their own personal email id and phone number. Members can nominate any 5 individuals who can be family members or friends, with the option to change Nominees once every 12 months.

What does the Member need to do to earn IndiGo BluChips on IndiGo or any of the Program Partners?

Upon successful enrolment into the IndiGo BluChip Program, every Member is issued a unique 9-digit IndiGo Membership No.  Members have to update/quote this IndiGo Membership No.  at the time of making their bookings through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App, or through any third party booking website like OTAs (Online Travel Agents) or when booking through an offline travel agent, at the time of check-in with IndiGo to ensure auto-tracking of their activities and accrual of IndiGo BluChips. If the Member has forgotten to quote the Membership No.  at the time of booking, then the Member can also visit the ‘Manage My Booking’ section on IndiGo Website/IndiGo Mobile App to update the Membership No.  before their flight/s.

Similarly, Members need to update/quote this IndiGo Membership No.  at the time of making their bookings or at the time of check-in or at the time of payment for their services and as per defined process with Program Partner to ensure auto-tracking of their activities and accrual of IndiGo BluChips.

Don’t forget to add your unique Loyalty Membership No. every time you book a flight on IndiGo Website OR Mobile App, OTA’s and Travel Agents.

Logging in to the IndiGo BluChip Membership Account

How does one login to their IndiGo BluChip account?

Members can log in to their IndiGo BluChip Membership Account by using their registered mobile number or email address. The login process involves a two-factor authentication, requiring the entry of a password followed by validation with a One-Time Password (OTP)

What happens if a Member forgets his/her IndiGo BluChip Account password?

Password retrieval is possible only through IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the IndiGo BluChip section on Indigo Website or IndiGo Mobile App

Step 2: Under the login section, click on ‘Forgot my password’

Step 3: Member must enter their registered mobile number or email id and validate with the OTP

Step 4: Upon successful validation, a temporary password will be sent to your registered email address

Step 5: Use the temporary password to reset and create a new password

Membership

Where can the Member view his/her IndiGo BluChip Account information like Profile Details, IndiGo BluChips Balance, Tier Benefits, and transaction details?

Members need to login to their IndiGo BluChip Account on IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App to check all their account related information including transaction details, IndiGo BluChips balance, Tier Benefits that is available in the dashboard section.

If a Member has forgotten his / her IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  where can they find it?

Login to the IndiGo BluChip Account is through the Member’s registered email ID or mobile number. Members can login to their IndiGo BluChip Account and visit the dashboard section to check their IndiGo BluChip Membership No.

How can a Member add/edit their personal details in their IndiGo BluChip Account?

Personal account details like Member’s First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth cannot be directly edited through the IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App. Member’s registered email address and mobile number also cannot be changed. In case Member need support to update their personal details in their IndiGo BluChip Membership then they need to contact the IndiGo BluChip Member Support Team at: 0124-6173838, 0124-4973838. Email: customer.experience@goindigo.in  and provide documentary evidence and verification as required by the Terms and Conditions of IndiGo BluChip Program for carrying out any changes to Member’s personal details. IndiGo BluChip Program will carry out these changes only if it is satisfied with the evidence provided and its verification of the same.

Can the Member add his / her family members as Nominees in their Membership Account?

  • Members can add up to 5 nominees to their account without needing to provide a relationship proof.
  • Nominees must be above 2 years of age at the time of being added as Nominee, and once added, they cannot be edited for a period of 365 days from the date of their nomination into the Account.
  • Members can redeem their IndiGo BluChips to book IndiGo marketed and operated flights for their Nominees and extend Tier Benefits to them.

Can Members pool IndiGo BluChips earned by Nominees into their own Membership Account?

No, pooling of IndiGo BluChips across Membership Accounts is not permitted. Each Member earns IndiGo BluChips in their own IndiGo BluChip Account for activities undertaken by them in the Program in their individual capacity. They cannot pool IndiGo BluChips from other Members’ IndiGo BluChip Account even if such Members are Nominees in their IndiGo BluChip Account.

What happens if a Member has created two IndiGo BluChip Accounts? Can the Member merge the IndiGo BluChip Accounts?

Member can merge two accounts into a single primary account. Member will need to contact the IndiGo BluChip Member Support Team at: 0124-6173838, 0124-4973838. Email: customer.experience@goindigo.in  and provide documentary evidence and verification as required by the Terms and Conditions of IndiGo BluChip Program for carrying out any changes to Member’s Account. IndiGo BluChip Program will carry out these changes only if it is satisfied with the evidence provided and its verification of the same.

Is the Member’s IndiGo BluChip Membership transferable?

No, the membership is non-transferable neither can it be sold for any consideration to any other individual.

Accrual of IndiGo BluChips

What are the different opportunities for a Member to earn IndiGo BluChips?

Here are the ways to maximize earning of IndiGo BluChips!

IndiGo Flights: Members can earn IndiGo BluChips when they fly IndiGo marketed & operated or IndiGo marketed & Codeshare Partner operated flights.

IndiGo Ancillaries/Add-ons: Select 6E Add-ons like Seat Select, Excess Baggage and Fast forward are also eligible for earning of IndiGo BluChips when booked on IndiGo website or mobile app.

*Please note: IndiGo BluChips will be credited into Member’s Account only after the completion of the flight.

IndiGo BluChip Program Partners

Activities with select IndiGo BluChip Program Partners allows Members to earn IndiGo BluChips for all the eligible activities.

*Please note: All IndiGo BluChips will be credited into Member’s Account only post the completion of the activity as per criteria determined by each Program Partner including but not limited to completion of billing cycle on payment of credit card dues.

Which IndiGo flights and ancillaries/add-ons are eligible for earning IndiGo BluChips? 

You can earn IndiGo BluChips on all IndiGo flight bookings where payment has been made using cash, credit or debit cards, UPI or any form of payment other than bookings done through redemption of IndiGo BluChips. Members can earn IndiGo BluChips for their personal or for their official travels. When booking through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App, it is advisable to login to the IndiGo BluChip Account to enable auto-update of IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  for auto-accrual of IndiGo BluChips. For bookings done through an OTA or a travel agent, Members must inform the travel agent to update their unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  to their bookings to auto-accrue IndiGo BluChips.

Eligible Flights and ancillaries/add-ons for accrual of IndiGo BluChips:

  • Flights Marketed and Operated by IndiGo, bearing the airline code 6E.
  • Select 6E Add-ons viz. Seat Select, Excess Baggage and Fast Forward services booked via IndiGo Website/or IndiGo Mobile App
  • Flights Marketed by IndiGo, bearing the airline code 6E, and operated by Codeshare Partners, bearing another airline code

Redemption tickets booked using IndiGo BluChips either in full or in part cash part IndiGo BluChips are not eligible for any accrual of IndiGo BluChips. Similarly, any additional fees paid as part of modification of the booking do not qualify for earning of IndiGo BluChips.

What are the different types of IndiGo BluChips that a Member will earn for his/her IndiGo flights?

Members earn the following types of IndiGo BluChips:

Base IndiGo BluChips: earned only on Base and Fuel Surcharge component of the fare on IndiGo. Members will earn 8 IndiGo BluChips for every INR 100 spent after application of any discounts or cashbacks or any other promotions as Base IndiGo BluChips.

Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips: Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips are additional IndiGo BluChips basis their Tier and are accrued only by Blu 1 and Blu 2 Members. Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips are earned as a % (percentage) of Base IndiGo BluChips.

Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips: Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips are additional IndiGo BluChips earned by all IndiGo BluChip Members only for their bookings done on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App. Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips are earned as a % (percentage) of Base IndiGo BluChips.

Will a Member earn Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips for their bookings done through third party websites, OTAs, offline travel agents or bookings done through corporate booking channels?

Members will earn Base and Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips irrespective of their channel of booking i.e. IndiGo Website/ IndiGo App, third party websites, OTAs, offline travel agents or bookings done through corporate booking channels.

Will a Member earn Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips for their bookings done through third party websites, OTAs, offline travel agents or bookings done through corporate booking channels?

Members will earn Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips only for their bookings done through IndiGo Website / IndiGo Mobile App. Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips will not be earned for bookings done through third party websites, OTAs, offline travel agents or bookings done through corporate booking channels even if there are subsequent modifications done to the bookings through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App.

Will Members earn Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips for their purchase of select 6E Add-ons?

Earning on select 6E Add-ons is only towards Base and Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips.

Will Members earn IndiGo BluChips for the purchase of the select 6E Add-ons through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App if the original booking was done through channels other than IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App

IndiGo BluChips on select 6E Add-ons will be eligible for accrual only if bookings are done through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App when purchased during the booking flow or post the purchase.

Bookings done through channels other than IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App and subsequent purchase of the select 6E Add-ons through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App will not earn IndiGo BluChips. Similarly, the select 6E Add-ons purchased through IndiGo Contact Centre, at the airport at the time of check-in or inflight will not earn IndiGo BluChips.

Will Members earn IndiGo BluChips for their bookings for self and Nominees?

IndiGo BluChips towards IndiGo Flights, IndiGo Codeshare Flights or purchase of select 6E Add-ons are accrued by Members only for their own bookings and not those of Nominees or any other passenger for whom they would have done the bookings and paid for.

Nominees who also are Members will earn IndiGo BluChips in their respective IndiGo BluChip Accounts after successful completion of their IndiGo Flight or IndiGo Codeshare Partner Flight even if paid for by another Member.

IndiGo BluChips are credited to the IndiGo BluChip Account only on successful completion of the IndiGo Flight or IndiGo Codeshare Partner Flight and not on booking of the IndiGo Flight or IndiGo Codeshare Partner Flight

Members must quote their unique 9-digit IndiGo Membership No. in their bookings for accrual of IndiGo BluChips.

Will Members earn IndiGo BluChips for group bookings or charters?

IndiGo BluChips earning is not eligible for accrual of IndiGo BluChips for Members booked on group fares, charter operations, agency discount fares, or any other fare as determined by IndiGo and as communicated from time to time.

If the Member has paid a certain fare at the time of booking and then the Member undertakes modifications to the fare, will the Member earn IndiGo BluChips on the fare paid at the time of booking or the fare after modifications?

IndiGo BluChips will be credited on the value of the final fare paid after modifications.

Will Members earn IndiGo BluChips for payments done in currency other than Indian Rupees (INR) for flight bookings?

Yes. Members will earn IndiGo BluChips for their flights booked in currency other than Indian Rupees (INR) with the accrual structure applied on the equivalent INR value after conversion from currency paid for the booking.

How does the Member earn IndiGo BluChips?

On IndiGo:

Members need to quote their unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No. in their booking

  • At the time of making the booking on IndiGo Website / IndiGo Mobile App
  • At the time of making the booking with offline and online travel agents
  • At the time of making the bookings through their corporate travel desks
  • If the Member has forgotten to update the Membership No. at the time of booking, then
    • post booking by visiting the ‘Manage My Booking’ section on IndiGo Website/IndiGo Mobile App, by retrieving their PNR and updating it with their IndiGo Membership No.
    • at the time of checking in at the airports for their IndiGo flights
    • after the completion of the flight, retrospectively claiming credit for such flights by logging into their IndiGo BluChip Account within 90 days of flight completion date

On Program Partners:

Members need to quote their unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No. in the manner and touchpoints as specified by each Program Partner.

What if a Member has forgotten to login to his/her IndiGo BluChip Account on IndiGo Website/IndiGo App while booking the flight. Will the Member earn IndiGo BluChips for this booking?

It is not mandatory for a Member to login to their Account for earning of IndiGo BluChips. Members can update their unique 9-digit IndiGo BluChip Membership No. on the passenger details page by clicking the ‘Update IndiGo BluChip Membership No.’ field.

Even if the Member has not entered the IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  during the booking process, the Member can visit the “Manage my booking” section to update their IndiGo BluChip Membership No. . Once the Membership No.  is updated, the Member will accrue IndiGo BluChips upon completion of the flight.

Alternatively, Members can visit the ‘Retro Claim’ section on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App through their IndiGo Membership Account in the logged in status and claim retrospective credit of IndiGo BluChips within 90 days of the flight completion date.

Will a Member’s flight booking done through an OTA or a Travel agent accrue IndiGo BluChips?

Yes, for bookings made through OTAs, travel agents or any other source, if the Member has provided the IndiGo BluChip Membership No. at the time of booking, such bookings will earn IndiGo BluChips. If the Member has not provided the Membership No.  during the booking process, then the Member can visit “Manage My Booking” section on IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App and update their Membership No.  for the booking. Members can also update their Membership No.  at the time of check-in for the flight. Once the Membership No.  is updated, Members will accrue IndiGo BluChips upon successful completion of the flight.

Alternatively, if the Member has forgotten to provide their Membership No.  to the OTA or travel agent during the booking process then Members can visit the ‘Retro Claim’ section on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App through their IndiGo Membership Account in the logged in status and claim IndiGo BluChips within 90 days of the flight completion date.

Member has undertaken the flight, but IndiGo BluChips have not yet been credited to the Account. What should the Member do?

IndiGo BluChips will be credited post completion of flight only, so Members first need to ensure that they have undertaken the flight.

In case, the Member has forgotten to update the Membership No. during the booking, they can visit the ‘Retro Claim’ section on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App through their IndiGo Membership Account in the logged in status and claim retrospective credit of IndiGo BluChips within 90 days of the flight completion date.

In case the IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  was updated in the booking and the flight has been completed but IndiGo BluChips have still not been credited, then Members can contact the IndiGo BluChip Member Support Team at: +91 1246173838 or +911244973838. Email: customer.experience@goindigo.in for support.

Can a Member earn IndiGo BluChips for their flights if another person or Member has done the booking for them?

Yes, Members can earn IndiGo BluChips for their travel by ensuring their Membership No.  is updated in the PNR at the time of the booking or thereafter by entering their Membership No. through the "Manage My Booking" section on IndiGo Website/IndiGo App or at the time of checking in for the IndiGo flight, even if someone else does the booking.

Will the Member accrue IndiGo BluChips in case of a No-show or flight cancellation?

No-show will result in complete forfeiture of promised IndiGo BluChips due for accrual. No IndiGo BluChips will be credited under such circumstance. IndiGo BluChips will also not be credited for such IndiGo flights that have been cancelled due to operational reasons or where bookings have been cancelled by the Member voluntarily.

If the Member has taken flights on IndiGo before their enrolment into IndiGo BluChip program, can they claim such flights for accrual of IndiGo BluChips?

Yes. Members can claim credit for such IndiGo Flights undertaken by them prior to their enrolment into IndiGo BluChip and within 90 days of the completion of the flight.  Members can visit the ‘Retro Claim’ section on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App through their IndiGo Membership Account in the logged in status and claim retrospective credit of IndiGo BluChips for such flights.

Will the Member earn retrospective credit of IndiGo BluChips only for the fare component or even towards purchase of the select 6E Add-ons?

As long as bookings have been made through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App, Members will earn Base IndiGo BluChips and applicable Tier and Channel Bonus IndiGo BluChips towards the fare component of their flight booking and Base IndiGo BluChips and Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips towards the purchase of select 6E Add-ons. If the bookings have been done through any other channel, then the Member will earn only Base IndiGo BluChips and applicable Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips towards the fare component of their flight booking. They will not earn any IndiGo BluChips for any 6E Add-ons even purchased through such channels or even if purchased through IndiGo Website/IndiGo App after making the booking.

Will the Member earn Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips basis the Tier at the time of booking?

Member will get to see the promised IndiGo BluChips as per their Tier at the time of booking the IndiGo Flight or IndiGo Codeshare Flight. However, actual earning of IndiGo BluChips will be basis the Tier of the Member as on the date of the credit of such flights and not as on the date of the booking. In between the booking and the credit of the flight into the IndiGo BluChip Membership Account, the Tier of the Member could either get upgraded or downgraded or retained. Hence the final number of IndiGo BluChips credited will be as per the Tier of the Member on the date of credit of the flight to the Membership Account.

How will the Member know that the booking has been updated with the IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  for auto-tracking?

If the IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  has been quoted at the time of booking or updated prior to the travel or at the time of check-in, the IndiGo BluChip Membership No.  and the Tier will be printed on the e-ticket or travel itinerary and on the boarding pass issued to the Member.

Redemption of IndiGo BluChips (Full Redemption and Partial Redemption)

What can a Member redeem IndiGo BluChips for?

IndiGo BluChips can be redeemed only on IndiGo Flights (excluding IndiGo Marketed and Codeshare Partner operated flight). IndiGo BluChips cannot be redeemed for any 6E Add-ons, taxes, levies, surcharges, fees, etc. on their IndiGo Flights.

How can I redeem IndiGo BluChips?

Redemption of IndiGo BluChips on flights is simple and hassle free!

Step 1: Member must visit IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App and login into the IndiGo BluChip Account to be able to proceed with the redemption.

Step 2: On the booking widget on the home page of the IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App, Member will need to enter the origin and destination and select IndiGo BluChips Redemption in the Pay tab.

Step 3: Member can choose the preferred flight from all the flight options displayed in IndiGo BluChips and redeem for the flight either 100% in form of IndiGo BluChips or part IndiGo BluChips and part in Cash.

Step 4: Members will have to pay for other levies, taxes, ancillary purchases, etc. in form of currency through any form of payment accepted on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo App.

Which IndiGo flights are eligible for redemption? 

Only IndiGo marketed and operated flights are eligible for redemptions. IndiGo marketed; Codeshare Partner operated flights are not eligible for redemption.

Redemption can be done only on one-way basis for IndiGo flights. Multi-city bookings, special fares for senior citizens and other categories are not available for IndiGo BluChips redemption.

If there is an infant travelling along with the Member, then applicable infant fare will have to paid by the Member in the form and manner as prescribed by IndiGo.

When can I start redemption of IndiGo BluChips? What are the rules for redemption award flights?

Members need a minimum of 500 IndiGo BluChips to start redeeming. Subsequent redemptions can be as per the balance in their IndiGo BluChip Account. IndiGo BluChips can be redeemed by members for self and / or their nominees. must be paid using another form of payment. Special fares, discount coupons, co-brand ticket vouchers and any other offers cannot be combined with IndiGo BluChips for redemption on flights.

Are there any blackout dates for redemption bookings?

No, there are no blackout dates for redemption bookings. Member can redeem against flights throughout the year, anytime, on any sector until the last available seat.

Can a Member earn IndiGo BluChips for redemption bookings?

No, IndiGo BluChips can only be earned for revenue flights booked through cash, card, UPI or other forms of monetary payments.

Can I redeem IndiGo BluChips for cash?

No, IndiGo BluChips do not have any monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. IndiGo BluChips can only be used to book IndiGo flights.

If a Member has made a redemption booking using IndiGo BluChips + Cash will the Member earn IndiGo BluChips for cash payment done?

No, IndiGo BluChips cannot be earned for redemption bookings made using IndiGo BluChips or IndiGo BluChips and cash.

Can a Member transfer his/her IndiGo BluChips to someone else?

No, transfer of IndiGo BluChips is not permitted as per the Terms and Conditions of the IndiGo BluChip Program.

If a Member is travelling with an infant can IndiGo BluChips be redeemed for Infant booking?

Members can book IndiGo Flights using IndiGo BluChips for self and Nominees; but IndiGo BluChips cannot be redeemed for infant (under 2 years). Infant tickets (without seat) can be purchased as per the applicable infant fare in the form and manner as prescribed by IndiGo.

Can a Member make redemption booking for an unaccompanied minor?

Members can redeem IndiGo BluChips for IndiGo Flights for an unaccompanied minor, provided the minor is part of the Nominee list. UNMR fee cannot be paid with IndiGo BluChips and must be done with other forms of payment as permitted by IndiGo.

Is there any additional fee charged for redemption booking?

Redemption fee, convenience fee, levies and statutory taxes are applicable per passenger per sector and will be charged separately in applicable currency. Redemption fee and convenience fee are non-refundable.

Cancellations and Modifications for Redemption Bookings (Full Redemption and Partial Redemption)

How can a Member cancel their redemption booking?

To cancel the redemption booking, Member must login to their IndiGo BluChip Account on IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App, go to the ‘Manage My Booking’ section, provide the PNR and select the appropriate cancellation request type. Members must review the details, including any applicable refunds on IndiGo BluChips and/or IndiGo BluChips + cash, and confirm the cancellation* request. Once submitted, the refund due, if any, will be processed, in IndiGo BluChips first and any balance in cash to the original payment method within 7 working days after deducting cancellation charges. Please note that the processing time may vary depending on the Member’s payment provider.

*Cancellation of redemption booking is only allowed through IndiGo Website and IndiGo App and not through IndiGo BluChip Member Support team at IndiGo Contact Centre or at the airport.

Can a Member modify his/her redemption booking?

Yes, a Member can modify and change a redemption booking by logging into their IndiGo BluChip Membership Account via the IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App. Any fare differences for the new booking (either refund or additional payment) arising from the modification will be borne by the Member. If IndiGo BluChips balance is less than the revised requirement of IndiGo BluChips and if the Member has undertaken a 100% redemption in form of IndiGo BluChips, Member will not be able to modify the booking, and will need to cancel and re-book provided Members have enough IndiGo BluChips to make a new redemption booking. In case the bookings have been done through redemption of part IndiGo BluChips and part in cash, then a Member will be able to rebook by paying the differential value in cash, subject to applicable Terms and Conditions.

*Modification of redemption booking is only allowed through IndiGo Website and IndiGo App and not through IndiGo BluChip Member Support team at IndiGo Contact Centre or at the airport.

Program Tiers and Tier Benefits

What are the IndiGo BluChip Tiers?

The IndiGo BluChip program has three Tiers – Blu 1, Blu 2, Blu 3. Members begin at the Blu 3 Tier and progress to higher Tiers of Blu 2 and Blu 1.

Eligibility criteria for upgrade:

  • Members need to spend a minimum of INR 100,000 and complete 04 IndiGo flights to upgrade or retain Blu 2 Tier
  • Members need to spend a minimum of INR 200,000 and complete 08 IndiGo flights to upgrade or retain Blu 1 Tier

Tier validity:

  • Blu 1 and Blu 2 Tiers are valid for a period of 12 months. Members need to qualify for retaining or upgrading their Tiers basis the above-mentioned Tier eligibility criteria.
  • Blu 3 Tier has lifetime validity, however, is reviewed annually for the purpose of assignment of Tier Benefits.

Tier evaluation:

  • Tiers are evaluated for upgrade daily to check the previous 365 days period for the minimum spends and flights criteria.
  • Tiers are evaluated for retention/downgrade once on the Tier’s anniversary to check the previous 365 days period for the minimum spends and flights criteria.

What flights and spends qualify for Tier evaluation?

Amount of fare paid towards the base fare and fuel surcharge component on revenue tickets on flights mentioned below qualify for Tier evaluation:

  • IndiGo marketed and operated flights.
  • IndiGo marketed and Codeshare Partner operated flights.

Flights undertaken through redemption of IndiGo BluChips either in full or in part IndiGo BluChips and part cash do not qualify for Tier evaluation.

Can the Member use their Tier benefits for co-passengers?

Tier Benefits can be used by Members for self and/or Nominees only. Other co-passengers are not eligible to use Tier benefits.

Can Tier Benefits be used on flights booked through redemption of IndiGo BluChips?

Tier Benefits viz. 6E Prime and discounts on select 6E Add-ons can be used on both revenue and redemption flights of Members and/or Nominees.

Can Tier Benefits be used on IndiGo marketed; Codeshare Partner operated flights?

No. Tier Benefits cannot be used on IndiGo marketed; Codeshare Partner operated flights.

What bookings qualify for use of Tier Benefits?

Bookings on IndiGo marketed and operated flights booked only through IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App qualify for use of Tier Benefits like 6E Prime or discount on select 6E Add-ons. Corporate bookings, bookings made through OTAs, travel agents, agent/SME portal on www.goindigo.in or third-party website or through any other channels do not qualify for use of Tier Benefits of 6E Prime or discounts on select 6E Add-ons. Group bookings or charter bookings also do not qualify for use of Tier Benefits of 6E Prime or discounts on select 6E Add-ons.

Can the Member use Tier Benefits on bookings after the payment has been made?

Members can use Tier Benefits even after the payment has been made. Members should visit IndiGo Website/ IndiGo App to purchase 6E Add-ons and use the Tier Benefits in the purchase journey.

Will Members earn Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips for bookings made through channels other than IndiGo Website/ IndiGo Mobile App?

Yes. Members will earn Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips over and above the Base IndiGo BluChips irrespective of their channel of booking.

Bookings made through OTAs, travel agents, agent/SME portal on www.goindigo.in or third-party website or through any other channels qualify for earning of Tier Bonus IndiGo BluChips.

How will the Member know that Tier Benefits have been used in the booking?

Tier Benefits are updated in the booking and appear on the e-ticket itinerary, or the boarding pass issued to the Member.

Following code that will appear in your boarding pass and e-ticket if you have selected the Tier Benefit while booking on IndiGo Website or IndiGo Mobile App

  • PRIM
  • FFWD

As a Blu 1 or Blu 2 Member can they access priority check-in or priority boarding through the Fast Forward desk?

Only if the booking has a 6E Prime or a Fast Forward Add-on updated in the booking can a Member use the facilities offered through Fast Forward. Members are advised to check their bookings for presence of Fast Forward Add-on for availing the facilities.

Can a Member use only part of the features of 6E Prime?

6E Prime is a combo product Add-on offered by IndiGo. A 6E Prime product includes Seat Select, Snack combo and Fast Forward Service. Members cannot use only part of the product offering of 6E Prime. Once 6E Prime benefit is used, all features of the product are applied to the booking.

Currently Seat Select, Snack Combo and Fast Forward Service is offered as a combo product. Services offered in the combo product can be updated from time to time by IndiGo and will be updated on IndiGo Website and Mobile App.

What is the validity of Tier benefits?

Tier Benefits remain valid until the expiry date of the Member's current Tier. These benefits can be applied to flights where booking and travel is within the validity period of the Tier.

If a Member's Tier is upgraded or downgraded during this period, the Tier Benefits associated with the previous Tier will expire, and the Member will receive benefits according to their new Tier.

Due to change in the Tier of the Member especially when the Member has been downgraded to a Tier where certain Tier Benefits are not available e.g. 6E Prime, then in such instances if the Member makes any changes to their bookings, applicable charges for such benefits will be payable by the Member. Furthermore, other Tier Benefits as applicable as per the revised Tier will apply in case of purchase of an eligible ancillary at the time of making the purchase of the ancillary and not as per the Tier at the time when the booking was made.

What will happen to Member’s Tier Benefits if they cancel a booking?

Tier Benefits (6E Prime) will be re-deposited to the Member’s Account if the booking is cancelled within the validity period of the Tier Benefit.

If the Member has utilized any 6E Prime benefit the same will be re-deposited to the Member’s Account within 24 hours of cancellation of the booking with such re-deposited Tier Benefit bearing its original validity.

Example: Booking date: 14 October 2024

Travel date: 10 November 2024

6E Prime Tier Benefit utilized: Yes.

6E Prime validity: 31 December 2024

If Member cancels the booking any time before the travel date, the voucher will be re-deposited with the original validity of 31 December 2024.

 

If the validity of the said Tier Benefit has expired, then the Tier Benefit will not be reinstated to the IndiGo BluChip Account.

What will happen to my Tier Benefit if I modify a booking?

If the Member has utilized any 6E Prime Tier Benefits in the original booking, these will be carried forward to the modified booking of the Member if the modified date is within the validity period of the Tier Benefit utilized.

Example 1: Booking date: 14 October 2024

Travel date: 10 November 2024

6E Prime Tier Benefit utilized: Yes.

6E Prime validity: 31 December 2024

Modified date of travel: 15 December 2024.

6E Prime Tier Benefit will be carried forward for the modified booking as the modified date of travel is within the Tier Benefit’s validity date.

 

Example 2: Booking date: 14 October 2024

Travel date: 10 November 2024

6E Prime Tier Benefit utilized: Yes.

6E Prime Tier Benefit validity: 15 November 2024

Booking modification booking date: 4 November 2024

Revised travel date: 05 December 2024

The complimentary 6E Prime Tier Benefit applied to the original booking will be carried forward to the modified booking.  However, the Member will need to pay any differential amount for such 6E Add-on to proceed with changes to the booking. The Tier Benefit will be forfeited as it will be past its validity date.

What happens to the Member’s cobrand card ticket voucher used in the booking in case the Member cancels the flight?

For bookings where co-brand card ticket voucher has been used, the same will not be re-deposited if the flight has been cancelled.

Can the Member use Tier Benefits on select 6E Add-ons on codeshare flights?

Tier Benefits are only applicable on IndiGo marketed and operated and not on IndiGo marketed, Codeshare Partner operated flights.

Tier Upgrade, Downgrade and Retention

What are the upgrade requirements from Blu 3 to Blu 2 Tier?

Member must spend a minimum of INR 100,000 and complete a minimum of 04 IndiGo flights in a continuous period of preceding 365 days to move from Blu 3 to Blu 2 Tier.

Each day, Members are reviewed for Tier upgrades based on their activities in a continuous period of preceding 365 days.

What are the upgrade requirements from Blu 2 to Blu 1 Tier?

Member must spend a minimum INR 200,000 and complete a minimum of 08 IndiGo flights in a continuous period of preceding 365 days to move from Blu 2 to Blu 1 Tier.

Each day, Members are reviewed for Tier upgrades based on their activities in a continuous period of preceding 365 days.

What will happen to the Members Tier Benefits of the previous Tier once the Member upgrades, or downgrades to a different Tier or retains the existing Tier?

Upon upgrade or downgrade of the Tier, Tier Benefits applicable for the revised Tier will be applied to the Member’s IndiGo BluChip Account with a revised Tier Benefit validity. All Tier Benefits associated to the previous Tier will expire. Similarly in case of retention of the same Tier, a fresh set of Tier Benefits will be issued and unutilized Tier Benefits will expire.

How will the Member know when they have been upgraded to the next Tier level?

Members will receive a Tier upgrade notification via email sent on their registered email ID. Alternatively, Members can check their Tier status in the Dashboard section of their IndiGo BluChip Account.

What are the retention requirements for Blu 3 Tier?

Blu 3 Tier is valid for lifetime and there is no expiry. Hence there are no retention criteria.

What will happen if the Member is unable to meet the Tier retention requirements?

If a member does not meet the Tier retention requirements, they will be downgraded to the next lower Tier at the end of the 365-day Tier Review Period. Tier Benefits associated with the downgraded Tier will be awarded to the Member, while the previous Tier’s Benefits will expire.

Is the Member’s redemption booking eligible for Tier review?

No, redemption bookings made using IndiGo BluChips or IndiGo BluChips + Cash will not be eligible for Tier Review.

What will happen to the Member’s co-brand card benefits in case of Tier change?

There will be no impact on co-brand benefits (Co brand vouchers). Co-brand benefits have a different expiry date from that of Member’s Tier and Tier Benefit validity date.

Expiry of IndiGo BluChips

Do the IndiGo BluChips expire?

IndiGo BluChips are valid for a period of 24 months from the date of credit in Members’ account. However, IndiGo BluChips will be extended for another calendar month if the Member does an eligible Accrual or a Redemption activity on IndiGo or any Program Partner. Any IndiGo BluChips credited retrospectively to the Members’ Account after the expiry of IndiGo BluChips will not result in reinstatement of expired IndiGo BluChips.

Do IndiGo BluChips earned on Program Partners have a different expiry than IndiGo BluChips earned for IndiGo flights?

IndiGo BluChips earned on Program Partners have the same expiry as IndiGo BluChips earned on IndiGo flights unless explicitly stated otherwise as per the Terms and Conditions.

Who are the current IndiGo BluChip Program Partners?

There are many online and offline partners that could participate in the Program from time to time. The details of the same will be updated on the IndiGo BluChip Program section on IndiGo Website and IndiGo Mobile App.

Refunds

If the Member’s booking failed and IndiGo BluChips and/or cash was debited. What should the Member do?

In case IndiGo BluChips and/or cash is deducted, and the booking has failed, IndiGo BluChips will be redeposited to the Member’s IndiGo BluChip Account and the cash will be refunded to the Member’s original form of payment within 7 working days. Members must check with their payment provider.
